Leicester’s leading dance music brand since 2012
Beastwang is a Leicester-born underground dance music brand founded by Nico Singh in 2012.
What began as an independent club night grew into one of Leicester’s most recognisable rave brands, building a loyal community around bass music, UK garage, jungle, drum and bass, grime, house and wider underground club culture.
Across more than a decade, Beastwang has delivered everything from intimate sweatbox parties to large-scale multi-room events, working across clubs, warehouses, alternative venues and indoor festival-style productions. The brand has hosted national and international artists, supported emerging local talent, and helped shape a new generation of Leicester ravers.
More than an event series, Beastwang became a cultural project: a place where underground music, visual identity, community and nightlife came together with a clear point of view. Its strength came from understanding the audience, building trust over time, and creating events that felt connected to the people in the room.
Behind the scenes, Beastwang required full end-to-end control across concept development, brand direction, artist booking, venue negotiation, production planning, ticketing, paid marketing, CRM, community building, licensing, budgeting, supplier management, crowd safety, artist hospitality and financial reporting.
It also demanded the ability to solve problems under pressure: managing changing venue requirements, artist logistics, production challenges, customer expectations, ticket sales, crowd flow, security, emergency planning and the commercial reality of running independent events.
Beastwang is a real-world example of independent culture being built from the ground up, scaled over time, and kept rooted in the community that made it matter.
